Entertainment Partners (EP) is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer capable of ensuring delivery of bug-free, scalable, secure solutions that delight our customers. Responsibilities include test planning, test development, and test execution of newly developed features while working in a Scrum environment. Close interaction with external technical customers and coordination with the rest of the QA team is a must. This is a hands-on automation and manual testing position requiring technical expertise and creativity, a strong sense of ownership, great communication skills and a passion for delivering results in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You will be primarily working on Scenechronize SmartHub, the industry-standard studio and production data and document management system. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will design and execute manual and automated tests against UI and API portions of the application, and you will champion the quality perspective for all aspects of integration being developed. You will work closely with the rest of the Quality Team, as well as with the Dev Team. Product Management, and DevOps groups. Your work will be instrumental to the business and disruptive to the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Demonstrate a full range of functional testing skills including smoke testing, sanity testing and system testing.
•Build automated test scripts as well as execute manual tests on the system.
•In addition to creating new test cases, maintain and enhance existing test cases with timely updates.
•Proactively identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
•Write test plans and test reports.
•Represent QA team when interfacing with other departments within EP.
•Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in (a) functional testing skills, and (b) testing of non-functional requirements such as installation, usability and performance of application software.
•Lead the planning of test activities - set test coverage goals and define test strategies.
•Ability to develop technical skills in new technologies in support of ongoing modernization efforts.
•Contribute and participate in test automation strategy using EP's automation tool Nexial.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 2-3 years of practical experience
•Or minimum of 5 years of equivalent work experience as a QA Engineer

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
•Relentless desire to break software systems to ensure that bugs are addressed
•Excellent testing instincts and ability to approach testing from functional and integration point of view
•Ability to do both manual testing and to write appropriate automated tests
•Expert-level ability to test web-based UI applications
•Strong familiarity with testing REST-based APIs
•Experience testing mobile iOS apps
•Comfortable working in a Scrum/Agile environment
•Strong skills with tools like Jira and Jenkins
•Good communication skills with the ability to write clear bug reports
•Experience designing and writing automated tests using a test framework
•Exposure to integration topics and working with teams outside the company
•Strong attention to detail in order to generate worthwhile test plans and to communicate necessary information about defects
•Ability to absorb, understand and communicate written and verbal information and ideas, and to deliver in a concise manner that is easily understood by others.
•Ability to apply critical thinking to identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
•Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
•Ability to absorb new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
•Ability to work in company-provided work area and equipment, with access to tools and equipment as needed.
•Familiarity with relational databases (SQL) a plus
•Familiarity with Java or Python a plus
