role is involved across many aspects of architecture vision and design that
delivers solution capabilities for one or more product domains in the
UnitedHealthcare Community & State business segment.The Architect holds a fusion of business knowledge and technology
acumen to effectively conduct analyses, impact assessment, and cost/benefit
evaluation. Within the agile framework, you will be involved in business
needs discussion, process optimization, architecture design explorations,
technical briefings and demonstrations across one or more product domains to
achieve short term results while balancing the transition to long term
vision.Primary Responsibilities:
Engage with product teams to understand anddisambiguate business intentions and needs
Identify and quantify impact of change on processes andsystems based on the scope of business needs; inform capital investmentplanning
Facilitate/lead/participate in exploring and assessingsolution options, architecture reviews and decisions; communicate outcomesand next steps
Create functional process blueprint and correspondingtechnology solution design; deliver all architecture artifacts within thepromised time
Ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives,IT goals, and enterprise architecture standards
Understand and adhere to architecture governanceframework and established standards; follow the exception/waiver processas needed
Collaborate with other architects and technologyengineers to define architecture vision, create an end-to-end target statesolution blueprint and implementation roadmap.
Partner with other architects to improve process,framework, knowledge exchange, artifacts and standards
Stay informed and keep pace with emerging technology,solution and architecture patterns

Undergraduate degree in computer science, informationsystems or STEM related field
5+ years of combined experience in one or more of thefollowing architecture disciplines: business architecture, solutionarchitecture, enterprise architecture
3+ years of experience in creating capabilityblueprints with implementation roadmaps (may be asked to provide examples/ artifacts);
2+ years’ experience presenting to IT and businessleadership and influencing through advisory (not authority)
Ability to define/clarify problems, analyze impact,explore options with industry perspective
Ability to work independently with solid analytical andproblem solving skills
Experience with Business Process Modeling and BusinessProcess Management
Highly proficient with MS Office tools including Excel,Word, Powerpoint, Visio, and Access
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree
Healthcare industry experience
Working knowledge of the following business andtechnology concepts: data management, data fabric, APIs, microservices,SOA, cloud, container, software/platform/infrastructure as a service,rules engines/BPMs, big data, predictive modeling, machine learning,artificial intelligence, mobile/digital applications, data architectureand governance
TOGAF certification or experience with PEAF, and/orother enterprise architecture frameworks
Experience in using architecture planning tool such asAlfabet, Troux, Casewise, Sparx or Mega
