DescriptionThe Business Systems Analyst will analyze, identify and define requirements that will help provide solutions with complex IT product releases. The Business Systems Analyst will also lead special projects and assignments as necessary, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between business needs and technological solutions. The work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of development and delivery situations requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple variable factors.ResponsibilitiesThe Business Systems Analyst:
Creates detailed business system requirements documents, data mapping specifications, and functional flows diagrams in order to capture business needs, objectives and solution outcomes
Creates and maintains system guides and contract documents that outline information exchanges and functions between different platform systems and applications
Deploys and maintain best practices and tools for requirements gathering and documentation
Collaborates both internally and externally to ensure data gathering and data sources are optimized to align and support the product strategy
Performs cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed changes to aid management in making implementation decisions
Builds, develops and grow critical stakeholder relationships (internal and external to Humana)
Engages with Humana Business Partners and appropriate Humana Data Exchange departments to ensure that data exchanges are clearly documented and defined, with a concrete understanding on expectations for receiving or posting of data
Is accountable on ensuring that all supporting release related artifacts are in place in order to successfully deploy. Takes proactive action to collect missing artifacts needed to complete task.
Understanding of PI and PHI regulatory requirements.
Strong understanding of impacts upstream and downstream
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Less than 5 years of technical experience
Experience in problem analysis and process
Experience working in technical tracks that involve data transformation and data storage
Experience with Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Problem solving and consultation within complex environments
Working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation
Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile Development Methodologies
