Essential Duties of CMM Programmer:
Establishes baselines and improvement plans for existing product
Designs Final and First Piece Inspection programs for existing product
Promotes ACE culture
Ensures good communication and coordination between Inspection and Engineering; understands/clarifies processes
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities of CMM Programmer:
Working knowledge programming CMM’s with latest Zeiss/Calypso software
Understanding of editing principals in accordance with ASME Y14.5
Programming in both Teach mode and off-line
Ability to troubleshoot and modify existing programs as required
Coordinating Quality results with Manufacturing and Engineering to remove roadblocks and solve problems
Ability to design inspection fixturing preferred
Supporting the QA Manager utilizing supervisor skills as required
Monthly reports to management
Improving teams’ technical abilities on CMM’s through one-on-one training
Helping train machinists in proper operation of CMM
Education and Experience of CMM Programmer:
Minimum of 5 years programming CMM’s utilizing blue prints and solid modeling
Must have well rounded experience in machining of Aerospace and Semi-conductor hardware.
1-3 years experience in supervisory or lead position preferred
