Are you ready to help us make the future?The Controllership Senior Manager reports directly to the Aerospace Assistant Controller. The position will be responsible for working closely with the business leadership of a of various parts of Honeywell Aerospace to ensure adherence to Honeywell Policies while assisting the business in the accounting and financial ramifications of business decisions and commercial deals being negotiated. Additionally, the position will develop and maintain subject matter expertise for various areas of US GAAP and Aerospace Industry practices. The role will also support Honeywell Aerospace in the implementation of various corporate initiatives and special projects, which may include: finance transformation, systems implementations, acquisition due diligence, integration and divestiture projects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, U.S. GAAP and statutory requirements Research technical accounting guidance for business-specific scenario analysis.Collaborate with Aero leadership and Finance teams on structuring and interpreting key contract provisions for appropriate accounting treatmentAssist with monthly/quarterly close process, review journal entries, and assist with external reporting requirements and corporate data requestsConduct Balance Sheet Reviews and coordinate internal and external audit support.Assist Controllership and finance organizations with special projectsDesign or improve processes to provide business finance leaders with better visibility into financial data trends, risks and other analytical insights for their respective businesses.Support special projects, strategic initiatives and implementation of new accounting standards. YOU MUST HAVEBachelor's degree in accounting; public accounting experience, CPA or equivalent7+ years of direct accounting / financial analysis experience in progressively responsible roles Strong understanding of accounting/financial processes related to manufacturing operationsDue to defense contract related work, must be a U.S. CitizenWE VALUE:Strong understanding of US GAAP & Government Accounting financial statements and metricsSelf-motivated, independent ability to drive complex process improvement initiativesStrong project management skills with demonstrated ability to play a key role in developing and implementing new financial systems and process improvementsStrong leadership, communication and ability to influence across a matrix organizationHoneywell is an equal opportunity employer.
