Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Group Sales and Catering Manager. The Group Sales and Catering Manager is responsible for marketing and selling events and caterings, creating and managing menus, ensuring customer satisfaction, keeping accurate records, and coordinating with the Executive Chef and other staff members.
Develop and manage sales strategies to target groups of up to 50 rooms on peak in all markets, and groups of all sizes in the sports market.
Efficiently handle express leads for small groups with short booking windows, ensuring a streamlined and responsive sales process.
Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute sales plans that maximize revenue and occupancy.
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, providing exceptional service and identifying potential opportunities for growth.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure client needs are met, from initial inquiry to event completion.
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and potential leads to ensure the hotel's competitive edge.
Qualifications
Food Service, Cooking, and Food & Beverage knowledge and experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
Proven ability to create and manage menus
Experience in catering and managing events
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Strong organizational and time management skills
