Description:

Role and Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, the IT Project Manager is responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives on several small to mid-sized projects. The project manager is responsible for ensuring the end product produced by the project provides the expected benefit to the customer. The project manager will accomplish this by ensuring that each project has clearly defined requirements and adheres to Project Management methodologies to delivering to the Agency. Additionally, the Project Manager will be expected to oversee and coordinate all activities related to the project from initiation to through closing including all associated artifacts, engagement with stakeholders providing the customers with IT solutions, and vendor contracts/procurement. The project manager is also expected to produce timely and accurate reporting for senior leadership and identify/monitor any project risk/issue in a proactive manner. The IT Project Manager will strive to build strong partnerships with their PMO team, internal resources and external customers.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience in project management
Strong working knowledge of practical aspects of project management
Previous experience with IT related projects including managing custom software development and COTS implementation projects
Strong working knowledge of various delivery methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
Ability to balance project management process with rapid delivery of benefit to the customer
Experience with maintaining all project artifacts including project schedules and budgets
Strong customer focus and servant leader attitude
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Problem solving skills
Skilled in the creation of project related documents, including but not limited to RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, business cases, research finding, detailed statements of work and status reporting
Demonstrated ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and across organizations
Demonstrated ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the organization
Demonstrated ability to be flexible in assignments and work alongside customers from varying backgrounds
Preferred Skills:
Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Scrum and Agile experience
Note :
Shift time
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
