Displays competency performing procedures on and communicating with various age groups.Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others and use of available radiation protection devices. Ensures badges are worn appropriately and readings are available.Practices good sterile technique when required and utilizes universal precautions and other infection control practices as appropriate.Accurately marks position and orientation on all mammography images. Assures patient information is correct and visible.Assures the correct information is on the Mammography Worksheet and is properly scanned into PACS.Responsible for proper order entry and order processing.Is able to locate and assist others to view films in PACS and on the digital mammography workstation.QualificationsMinimum
Graduate from an approved Radiological Technology Program
Minimum of five (5) years of imaging technologist experience and three (3) years experience as a mammographer
CT CRT CT MMRT CT ARRT CT CPRBLS - STATE: Must hold and maintain AZ DHS Bureau of Special Licensing(1) CRT: Certified Radiologic Technologist and (2) CMT: Certified Mammography TechnologistNATIONAL: Must also hold and maintain national (3) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and (4) American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
