The Outreach Nurse supports the efficient delivery of community-based vaccination and STI services through outreach events. This role works closely our Community Health and Wellness partners and with the Infection Control Nurse and exercises independent judgment in monitoring outreach activities and associated clinical functions. The Outreach Nurse actively participates in quality improvement initiatives, program monitoring, and ongoing education to stay current with advancements in vaccines and STls.Additionally, the Outreach Nurse ensures patient safety during outreach events and plays a key role in expanding NATIVE HEALTH's mobile, school-based, and community-based vaccination and STI services. This work primarily serves underserved and minority populations throughout Maricopa County.This position is dedicated to outreach-based vaccination and STI services under the Shield for Life program and reports directly to the Health Services Director.Evaluation: Performance in this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions outlined in the NATIVE HEALTH Employee Handbook.Essential Functions: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics.
