You will be actively encouraged to develop your skills and knowledge through professional development to allow for career progression within CGI.This position can be located at any CGI office on the West coast, with preferred location in Phoenix, AZ, in order to accommodate working PST hours.Your future duties and responsibilities:The primary duties of the Financial Engineer include pricing out new and complex opportunities, performing cost-benefit analysis on prospective scenarios that could come into play once a contract is signed, understanding project work and the financial requirements to complete a job. Additionally, the FE will perform full life cycle project accounting, revenue recognition, client billing, analysis to financial metrics and vendor management. You should possess solid analytical, organizational, and time-management skills along with being adept at managing workload, prioritizing and knowing when (and how) to raise issues. Additionally, this person must be strategic and assertive in a fast-paced environment. Much of this job is working in Microsoft Excel, so the ability to work efficiently in spreadsheets is a high priority.Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 3+ years of solid accounting and/or finance knowledge. An understanding of technical accounting coupled with experience in the corporate world is essential. Strong analytical skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
