Job Title: Project ManagerJob DescriptionThe Project Manager is primarily responsible for driving various customer-specific and internal projects to completion. This position will create value by analyzing project results and helping develop the business decisions that result from the projects. The role involves working with the Operations group on monthly reporting of operational and financial metrics, interfacing with customers and business personnel, and other projects as needed. A strong knowledge of finance/accounting, business acumen, and excellent communication skills are required.Responsibilities

Direct project supervision and project workflow.

Maintain proper levels of quality control, meet all project schedules, and ensure efficient utilization of resources.

Communicate project status to management and to the client.

Develop project specifications and implement practices to achieve defined objectives to the satisfaction of the client and management.

Maintain working knowledge of utility company policy and procedures to communicate effectively with various professional staff from client companies.

Be well versed in the basic tenets of line construction and maintenance.

Have a working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code and the ability to recognize distribution equipment and associated hazards.

Maintain confidences regarding highly sensitive and proprietary information.

Manage and develop models for reporting operational KPIs and information flow into monthly performance reports.

Interact with other members of the Finance and Operations group to lead analysis of information in preparation for monthly leadership reports.

Support members of the Finance and Operations group to aid understanding and articulation of business drivers, track, and submit projected revenue, earned value, and other operational metrics.

Proactively participate in meetings with construction supervisors to obtain the necessary technical, financial, and operational inputs for appropriate reporting.

Assist the Estimating department in putting together new estimates based on historical reporting from past projects.

Additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years of project management experience with a contractor.

Detailed knowledge of project management fundamentals.

Financial studies and knowledge of the electricity and electrical construction market preferred.

Experience working for a self-performing contractor.

Substantial civil or high voltage electrical experience.

Proficiency in MS Office.

Knowledge of Construction management, Quality Control, Scheduling, Line Construction, Maintenance, NEC, and Estimates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

4-year college degree preferred.

Experience in substation construction, heavy civil construction, and general contracting.

Work EnvironmentThis role involves spending 75% of the time in the office and 25% in the field. Local travel to project sites in Arizona is required. The role will be based out of the Phoenix office for onboarding and on-the-job training, with field visits as deemed ready. The standard work week is 40 hours, but flexibility is needed in case project demands it. Raises are given in June each year based on performance, and bonuses are based on reaching company budget goals. A company vehicle is provided.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $130000.00Raises are given in June each year. Merit increases are based on employee performance. Increases may also be given if an employee was given a goal to achieve throughout the year and they completed it prior to the yearly increase. Bonuses are based on reaching company budget goals for the year.
