This includes providing direct support for safety activities, acting as the primary contact for all safety activities, managing assigned projects, and ensuring the implementation of all EHS requirements.As a Site Safety Specialist, you create chemistry by

Providing technical and regulatory expertise in conjunction with the EHS Team Leader to ensure compliance, safe workplaces, and continuous improvement of EHS programs.

Collaborating with site management to address compliance concerns.

Leading and delivering all required safety training to site employees in alignment with BASF EHS policies/programs to meet federal, state, and local requirements.

Working with site management, corporate EHS, and other parties to prepare for audits related to this site.

Taking the lead in implementing corporate standardized EHS policies and procedures, including Safe Work Permits, Job Safety Analysis, Management of Change, Incident/Accident investigation, Ergonomics, and HAZCOM.

If you have

Bachelor´s degree with studies in a related field (preferred).

5 or more years of demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, or other relevant industry, with knowledge of Occupational Safety

Extensive regulatory (OSHA, EPA, DOT, DHS) and technical safety expertise is essential.

English and Spanish bilingual skills, strongly preferred.

Professional Certification (CSP, CIH, etc.) or completed within 18 months of employment.

PSM (Process Safety Managed)/RMP (Risk Management Plan) knowledge and expertise, preferred.

Ability to travel domestically up to 10%
