The IT Project Manager II is responsible for planning, estimating, providing day-to-day management, leadership, direction, and administration across the full project lifecycle. Over time, the scope of this job will range from managing a single enterprise project or concurrent small and medium sized projects. The project manager will also serve as the liaison between technical and non-technical departments, working collaboratively to ensure that business and IT objectives are accomplished.

Job Description:A large grocery organization is hiring a Sr. Project/Program Manager to support 2-3 workstreams that are part of a larger program of projects called Customer Data Foundations. This program has just recently kicked off in the last few weeks at this company and has at least 12-18 months of initial work laid out. The Customer Data Foundations program is a key technology suite that will capture customer/loyalty data and through personalization and AI, it'll allow them to personalize and grow loyalty. This company is on a journey to grow loyalty with customers, be able to personalize the experience for customers, etc. and there's a lot that needs to go on in the background for that to happen. Some of the deliverables for these workstreams could be:

Analysis on what customer data can live/is needed in PII clean/raw zone based on data governance (align with Legal)

Discovery and RFP for Data Security Posture Management tool

Implementation of DSPM tool.

Configure Azure Data Lake storage zones

Creation of end-state architecture diagram that will inform future Azure roadmap.

Deploy disaster discovery capability and environment for region to region

Additional Skills & Qualifications:Soft skills are very important here. Need someone who is flexible and patient, as this environment is not fully agile, although devs do work in sprints. They are standing up a new capability so this person will need to be able to work with Solution Architects, developers, etc., pull info into sprints and shepherd activities. It needs to be someone who understands/has experience with Agile/Scrum, but isn't so rigid, that they'll get frustrated in an environment that is still maturing. Need to be somewhat technical, as this is a very IT/Infrastructure facing project. Personality Traits Maintain high levels of integrity and dependability. Maintain a focus on results, quality and customer satisfaction. Work well in a team environment and effectively manage work activities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple quickly changing and competing priorities. Be extremely flexible and adaptable. The ability to function and stay focused in constant pressure, fast growing and ever-changing organization. Ability to effectively apply conflict and risk management techniques. Communication Skills Strong project team leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to competently understand, speak, read and write English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior managers, project steering committees and customers.
