Their work is founded in GM’s Purpose; to pioneer the innovations that move and connect people to what matters.The Purpose and Culture team relentlessly focuses on defining and creating an environment where employees can thrive in a rapidly and constantly changing environment. The team is tasked with setting the company’s culture strategy — by leveraging our best attributes, while also asking the tough questions around what needs to change, and then driving those changes enterprise wide. This team collaborates across the organization – partnering with groups such as Comms, HR, and Talent Development – to create new initiatives, and innovate current systems, tools, and processes for impactful and sustained culture change.The Role:

Project support: has a direct role in driving a multi-pronged, multi-region culture activation plan from the ground up for a workforce of 155,000 people (2024 is phase one of this transformation initiative); assist in planning and executing Culture & Purpose initiatives such as organizing events for a global audience and facilitating workshops with people at all levels of the company. Cross-functional collaboration: coordinate and build relationships with other stakeholders to help implement our culture strategy.

Communication and storytelling: interacts with various people and functions to mine purpose-driven or culture related stories to pitch to internal communications.

Employee engagement: engages with different employee groups, collecting and analyzing feedback to provide insight.

Research and analysis: evaluate trends and conduct external benchmarking on organizations with highly rated cultures to deliver actionable recommendations for the Purpose and Culture team.

Additional Job DescriptionRequired Qualifications: ​

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: business, entrepreneurship, communications, organizational psychology, human resources, or related fields ​

Must be graduating between December 2024 and June 2027

Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week​

Work Arrangement:

Remote : The position can be performed remotely most of the time, but the employee may be asked ​to come on-site approximately four times per year.

Hybrid : Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time, but the general expectation is that the employee be on-site an average of three (3) days each week. Location: Warren, MI
