We are part of CommonSpirit Health which operates 139 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21 states, making our services accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents.For the health of our community we are proud to be a tobacco-free campus.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Supervises, directs, and plans the day-to-day work schedule of employees and contractors within the Plant Operations and Maintenance department. Supervises the full spectrum of activities for facilities planning, operations, maintenance, construction, contracts, budgeting, and safety.Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
Oversees and performs major and minor maintenance repairs and inspections.
Provides support to the director and or manager of facilities in the performance of her/his job duties.
Ensures employees and contractors are performing their work (e.g., preventative maintenance) in a safe manner and in accordance with proper procedures when working in patient care areas or on patient related equipment or in other non-patient care areas.
Keeps knowledge and ensures compliance on rules, regulations, licensure, accreditation and laws applicable to hospital and department operations including all infection control procedures.
QualificationsMinimum:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 3 years experience in related field required.
Preferred:
Experience with codes and regulations like NFPA, JACHO, NEC, AIA, Etc.
Five (5) years experience and in depth knowledge in one of the following areas: HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical
Two (2) years supervisory experience
Trade school graduate.
Management training courses.
