You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the Engines and Power Systems business to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.Be part of the Propulsion Control Systems Engineering team, supporting Honeywell’s propulsion engines (commercial and military applications). You will learn the propulsion control system designs and serve as design authority for one or more product lines. You will interact with customers like Gulfstream, Bombardier, Embraer, and others during development programs, entry into service issue resolution, and sustaining efforts. You will also regularly interface with Honeywell customer support personnel to address in-service issues and with supply chain teams to support product cost reduction programs.Key Responsibilities

Work Propulsion Control System design changes, validation testing, and production support.

Actively work with cross-functional teams to drive work assignments and project objectives.

Establish and maintain effective and responsive working relationships with customer counterparts.

Support Propulsion Control Systems validation plan development by gathering customer and airworthiness requirements.

Support project plans by adhering to established schedule, budget, and staffing plans.

Effective coordination and communication with: Multi-disciplinary design teams, systems engineering teams, and project management organizations

Prepare technical presentations and present information to internal and external customers.

Develop documentation to support work being conducted including test procedures, test reports, general customer technical communication, service bulletins and aftermarket manuals.

Support field service engineers in determining urgent propulsion engine problems.

Support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) of customer service-related difficulties utilizing the internal review board process.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematic

2+ years engineering experience

Ability to read, write and speak English.

WE VALUE

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Masters Degree (advanced education)

Background in systems engineering and requirements development

Knowledge of turbine gas engines design

Experience with product development and/or customer support efforts.

Experience with PDM tools (i.e. Team Center)

Knowledge of ARP4754A, DO-254 and/or DO-160/MIL-STD-810 standardsDiverse and global teaming and collaboration

Individuals that quickly analyze and apply new information and concepts

Individuals who are self-motivated, able to work with little supervision, and who consistently take the initiative to get things done

Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
