At The Delicatessen the barista will prepare custom coffee beverages. To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for customer service and have an introductory skillset of a barista.
Responsibilities and Duties
● Greet customers, present bakery and drink menus, answer questions and offer recommendations
● Take orders while paying attention to details
● Prepare barista style beverages following recipes
● Serve beverages with aesthetically pleasing presentation
● Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including coffee and drink making equipment
● Comply with and safety regulations
Requirements
● At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
● Must have at least 6 months experience as a barista or counter service
● Positive attitude with outgoing and friendly personality
● Cashier experience and basic math skills needed
● Excellent communication skills
● Knowledge of sanitation regulations
● Must be available to work evenings, nights, and weekends
● Is professional and punctual
● Team player who is reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
