Our ideal candidate has open availability Wednesday-Sunday. We're looking for someone who possesses an ability to self-govern, works with a sense of urgency, is reliable & willing to learn from those around them. One year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred but not mandatory.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (AM PREP COOK):
Reports to work in a timely manner
Manages daily prep list with efficiency and accuracy
Organizes walk in and coolers to Maricopa health and food guidelines
Helps break down and set up line when needed
Being crossed trained from different prep items to working the line when needed
Accepts orders from multiple purveyors and put them away in a timely matter
Able to multitask effectively to better set themselves and their team up for success
Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area.
Responsible for daily operational procedures and responsible for food production
Adheres to company recipes at all times, unless otherwise directed by Chef
Is skilled in food preparation such as cutting, peeling, chopping and slicing fruits and vegetables as well cutting of meats & fish; replenishes service lines as necessary
Cooks foods in accordance with restaurant standards, including activities such as baking, broiling, frying, grilling, steaming, braising, boiling, and pressure cooking.
Prepares and cooks meats, fish and vegetables using a full range of cooking methods; tests foods being cooked for quality
Addresses problems and conflicts in a professional and effective manner with supervised staff, allowing for opportunities of learning and growth, and facilitating such opportunities in a respectful manner.
Assists in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment. Reports all deficiencies when appropriate, such as equipment problems, need for repair or equipment needed for back of house.
Exhibit qualities of a team player and interacts with team positively and professionally.
