Behavioral Health Technician/ Peer Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking 2 dedicated Support Specialists to join our team. The Support Specialists will provide assistance to individuals in need, offering support and guidance as well as Behavioral Health Services, primarily servicing ALTC members and Youth Program.

Responsibilities:

- Provide mentoring and support to individuals facing behavioral health challenges

- Conduct crisis intervention and manage situations effectively

- Utilize systems knowledge to navigate resources for clients

- Offer mental health counseling and support services

- Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to inspire positive change

- Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to address client needs

- Implement crisis management strategies when necessary

Requirements:

- Previous experience in behavioral health or related field.

- Proficiency in crisis intervention and counseling techniques

- Strong understanding of motivational interviewing principles

- Knowledge of community resources

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

-Peer Support Certified

-Spanish Speaking preferred but not required.

-Fingerprint Clearance Card and Valid Driver's License are required.
