JOB SUMMARY:
As a Clinic Patient Coordinator, you will work directly with the clinic manager and providers to coordinate and organize patient EMR charts, scheduling and managing the front desk. As the coordinator, greeting patients and assisting with their questions is required to build trust and loyalty with them and our community. When you join Desert Hand and PT, you’ll participate in a One-on-One training program to succeed in your role.

Maintaining patient schedules
Follow laws for scheduling appointments based on insurance.
Prepping of the patient schedules to verify patient is eligible to be seen (ex; visit counts, authorizations, eligibility)
Collect and balance daily patient copayments; Upload financial information into the Portal and other necessary EMR spaces for compliance of patient financials.
Answering multiline phone system.
Communicating with your team needs via instant messages.
Verify new patient insurance eligibility; obtaining and managing authorization visits for physical/occupational therapy & splints, and explaining coverage/benefits to patients
Time Management: Minor reports
Clear understanding of the services provided and have ability to explain to callers how we can assist
Manage petty cash flow of the clinic.
Manage clinic schedule for all therapists
Order office supplies
Additional tasks as assigned by the Manager
