Hygienist position available one day of the week (Your choice M, T, W or Th)
We're looking for a committed part-time experienced Dental Hygienist to become part of our vibrant dental practice. The perfect candidate will be instrumental in delivering exceptional dental care to our patients while prioritizing their comfort and satisfaction. In this Dental Hygienist position, your responsibilities will include conducting dental cleanings, providing patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques, and supporting the dental team in offering outstanding care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Assess patients’ periodontal health and record vital signs accurately.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in Softdent or similar software.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as necessary.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care for pediatric and adult patients.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with infection control standards in a dental office setting.
Proficiency in using Softdent or similar dental software for managing patient records.
Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
A compassionate approach to patient care with a commitment to promoting oral health education.
