Qualifications
Must hold a valid AZHygiene license
5+ years of hands-on Hygienist experience is required
iTero experience is ideal
Familiarity with Dentrixis preferred
Duties include
Exposing radiographs
Perform oral cancer screening
Administering local anesthetic and Nitrous oxide
Give a proper dental hygiene diagnosis—follow the Hygiene Protocol as described by Dr. Brady and Dr. Wedemeier
Perform prophylaxis
Perform Scaling and Root planing
Perform full mouth debridement
Educate patients on oral disease
Sterilize instruments
Stock hygiene room
Properly clean and disinfect the hygiene room
Help assistants with cleaning up the office and putting away supplies
Do appropriate “downtime” activities whenever an appointment is canceled or missed, including helping to fill the schedule, calling on recare, and other activities as listed on the Downtime List
Complete the timely monthly Production Tracker and evaluate production and collections on an ongoing basis to ensure the meeting of goals
Complete assigned tasks as part of the End of Day Checklist each day
Participating in team-building exercises and providing feedback and ideas for improving overall team cohesiveness and productivity, as well as improving systems within hygiene, specifically
