Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, including those with autism and dementia. Duties
Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Provide direct support in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Assist clients with mobility and transportation as needed.
Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional health.
Record vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, particularly for those with autism or dementia.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with family members and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred.
Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment is beneficial.
Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders or dementia care practices is a plus.
CPR/First Aid certification is required.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
