Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Hygiene Assistant to support our dental hygienists and ensure smooth workflow in our office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dental hygienists during patient procedures
- Prepare and maintain hygiene instruments and equipment
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment
- Set up and breakdown operatories before and after patient appointments
- Take digital dental x-rays as needed
- Provide oral health education and instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure the dental office remains clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Follow all infection control protocols and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a dental or medical setting is required Minimum 3 years
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Certification in dental assisting (CDA) or equivalent is desirable
- Radiography certification is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
