Position Summary:
Fast paced Foot & Ankle specialty group seeking reliable Medical Assistant for immediate, long term position. The Medical Assistant will provide direct support to physicians and work closely with our administrative team to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of the office and provide exceptional and compassionate patient care.
Job Function and Duties:
Perform duties under the supervision and direction of the physician
Assist Physician in the exam room
Provide patient instruction as directed by the physician
Triage patients as needed
Complete patient paperwork and enter into the EMR
Update medical records
Obtain pre-surgery clearances
Prepare instrument trays for in-office procedures
Obtain consent forms for procedures
Casting set-up and cast removal
Clean and stock exam rooms
Supply inventory management

Required Skills & Abilities:
HIPAA and OSHA knowledge and Compliance
Medical office experience preferred
Must be professional and courteous
Excellent communication skills
Organizations skills
Ability to work with a team or independently
Knowledge of EMR/Computer Skills
Physical Demands:
Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 20 pounds as needed throughout the day.
Schedule and Related Information:
Work schedule is Monday through Friday
