Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist – Full Time
AVISTA Family Medical Center provides exceptional primary care and medical services and currently seeks a high-quality medical assistant to join its team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities include helping patients with professional medical services, sharing and gathering information, securing and updating medical records, rooming patients, performing vitals, assisting with stocking and inventorying medical supplies, answering phones, and checking voicemail.
Experience Preferred (willing to train the right candidates) - front and back office, computer, and EMR, insurance verification, collecting payments, phlebotomy, medical history, medication list, injections, EKG, urinalysis, spirometry, lab orders, cleanup/setup procedures, autoclave.
Physical Requirements - Standing and sitting for long periods, repetitive finger motion while using a keyboard and phone, opening doors, assisting (supporting) patients, and small box lifting.
Individual Requirements - A professional level of personal hygiene, reliable transportation, respect for patient rights, and the ability to adequately communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
