Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Pain Management

About the Role
Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will practice within the scope of their licensure, as outlined by state regulations. This role requires clinical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to improving patients' quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct new patient assessments, medical histories, and physical exams
Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Educate patients on diagnoses, test results, medications, and treatment options
Perform follow-up visits for medication management, pain conditions, implants, procedures, and surgeries
Administer interventional injections (e.g., Botox, trigger points, joint injections) using ultrasound guidance
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (imaging, labs, urine drug screenings)
Provide perioperative care, including pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-ups
First-assist in surgical procedures under the direction of an MD or DO
Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to policy development
Qualifications
Education: Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner program; certification-pending new graduates welcome to apply
Licensure: Current state license, NCCPA (PA) or board certification (NP), and DEA license
Experience: Relevant clinical and procedural experience preferred
Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and computer literacy
Preferred Experience (a plus, but not required)
eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience
Pain management experience
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Ability to move and assist patients safely
Work in an office setting with frequent patient interaction
Comfortable handling fast-paced and sometimes stressful situations
Manual dexterity for computer use, phone operation, and grasping objects
Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
Compensation & Employment Details
Pay: TBD based on experience
Locations: Litchfield Park & Surprise (must be willing to travel between locations)
Schedule: Flexible – ideal for part-time candidates, with potential to expand to full-time
