South Phoenix (7th Avenue and baseline) boarding and training facility is looking for barn help. Please read the entire post before you respond
Duties include but not limited to
Cleaning max 32 stalls with shavings removing all manure and urine and re-bedding as needed.
Feeding horses / making supplement buckets
Turnout ( bringing in and putting out according to temperatures/ schedule.
Blanketing/ unblanketing when needed
General grounds upkeep (light landscaping /minor repairs handy man experience a plus)
MUST have recent horse knowledge/ handling as you will be handling them I will not consider anyone with no horse experience DO NOT inquire if you have no horse experience.
This is a physical job. Please be aware of that before you reply. You will need to be able to lift at least 80 pounds Also please note this is a job outdoors you will have to work in the heat/ rain / dust.
Applicant must be:
Reliable
Punctual
Hard-working
Self motivated
Trustworthy
Honest and able to communicate
Non-smoker
Absolutely no drugs will be tolerated
Self motivated and good at time management
Applicant will be responsible for morning chores Monday thru Saturday Sundays off there will be an occasional Sunday if the applicant wants extra cash
Cash will be paid weekly (cash=no taxes) wage will be discussed after initial contact
Housing is possibly available and could be provided after a trial period of 45 days.
The following apply only to those who may need housing :
Prefer a single male but I would consider female or a couple if it’s the perfect fit and both individuals are willing to share duties. I may also be willing to include board for one horse . A housebroken well behaved friendly dog will be allowed as well
Applicant must provide references and must pass a background check

Please do not respond if you have no horse experience I’m willing to help someone learn but you have to have general knowledge and basic handling skills
