Since the early 2000’s KES has been providing on-site technical services for multiple aerospace facilities. Our staff of highly skilled team members are responsible for chemical management for specified clean lines, transfer of waste from production areas to central waste accumulation areas, equipment cleaning and related services, as well as preventative maintenance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Perform on going preventive maintenance and repair work at facility.
· Maintains, operates all chemical tank systems and associated equipment.
· Perform general maintenance manual repairs as needed.
· Manage preventive maintenance for other facility equipment or installed systems.
· Respond to emergencies - for all facility related emergencies for tank systems which may require work even during off work hours, weekends and holidays.
· Perform facility inspections
· Perform Confined Space Rescue/Standby
· Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Knowledge of general maintenance procedures along with a skill set that includes basic proficiencies in some or all the following: chemical tanks, plumbing, carpentry, electrical/mechanical systems
· Strong communication skills
· Strong customer and interpersonal skills are essential.
· Aptitude for organizing tasks, managing time and prioritizing projects
· Must exhibit sound judgment, tact, courtesy daily, and have excellent rapport with staff members.
· Ability to develop strong relationships with other internal departments.
· Excellent time management and task tracking skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, crawling in/through low spaces. Tasks include the need for hand finger dexterity, clear speech, hearing/listening, reading and writing, lifting and moving furniture and related equipment, heavy equipment. Per OSHA’s Respiratory standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Technicians may also be responsible for minor repair projects. The job can involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises. It can also require strenuous physical work, such as heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
Compensation
· Starting Wage: $17.50-18.50 per hour
· Overtime is available on an as needed basis.
Available Full-time shifts
· 1st Shift 6:00 – 2:30 (30 Minute Lunch Break)
Requirements for employment
· Must be able to pass a drug test without the use of a medical marijuana card.
· Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
· The ability to communicate with team members and supervisor.
· Reliable transportation
· Valid Driver’s License
