Job Title: Facilities Technician

Status: Full-time

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team. In this role, the Facilities Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential Responsibilities:

Performs a wide variety of routine repair, maintenance, fabrication and installation on structures, buildings, machinery, equipment, furnishings and systems as assigned by management.

Establish best practices for repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment for early detection of deficiencies and safety hazards.

Conduct maintenance of electrical systems.

Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations.

Installs and repairs equipment according to applicable building and safety codes.

Perform troubleshooting and repair of systems and equipment (boilers, chillers, and compressors), installations, maintenance, and quality checks of completed work.

Support the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.

Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.

Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection and quickly schedule repairs when needed.

Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.

Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol

Qualifications:

Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems

Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician

Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds

Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods

Experienced in operating a variety of equipment

Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices

Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Outstanding organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as a team member

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Available to work extended hours when required

Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position requires sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally requires standing, squatting, reaching and bending. Requires ability to receive information through oral communication both in-person and on telephone. Manual dexterity needed for using computer keyboard. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Must have adequate vision to operate computer and complete paperwork.
