Behavioral Health Tech JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE: Provide excellence in boundaries setting, and support for individuals to leave better than they arrived.
JOB Duties:
All residents are safe and supervised.
Residents self-administer their medications
Residents receive the highest level of behavioral health and medical care possible
Residents are promoted to achieve the highest status of self-responsibility
Treatment plans are adhered to and reminders of outcomes are reminded
Protocols and guidelines are followed
All resident emergencies are acted upon immediately, properly, are documented and appropriate management is informed
Promote open communication between residents, health care professionals, families, and staff
Your personal needs are taken care of to be outward focused during your time here
Maintain your records; including TB, CPR/1st AID and ongoing training.
If there is a health crisis do not enter the building and prevent others from entering as well.
HOME
Home has all the necessary supplies. If not, document and notify management
Monthly maintenance checks are performed, are documented and management is notified
Maintain clean and current medication administration records
Medications are locked up and safe at all times
Properly perform all duties and if you do not know, ask for help. That includes working with other BHTs and assistants as a team to complete daily duties including cooking, cleaning, resident care, laundry, etc.
Daily and weekly schedules are followed, including cleaning, resident activities, showering, menus, shopping, inventory, supplies, meds, work orders, vitals and glucose monitoring, MARS, logs, catheter care and logs
Work together as a team with House Assistant, Home Manager, and/or other BHTs to keep the home clean and safe, and the residents happy and healthy.
Check to ensure all equipment is in safe and working order at all times. If not, document and notify management
ACTIVITIES
A variety of on- and off-site activities are scheduled, promoted and properly staffed
All residents and their families are aware of all the details about all on-site and off-site events & activities
All activities and events are administered without problems or negative feedback
All birthdays and their parties are known, planned for, staffed properly and as many family members as possible are present
All residents are getting safe and appropriate exercise
MAR
MARs are always up-to-date
New meds are listed, discontinued meds are purged and all meds are initialed
ADMINISTRATION
Never leave residents alone.
Always are on-time, prepared and ready to work every shift
Always communicate to the next shift what happened on your shift and anything they need to know to do their job well
Always document shift notes
If you fail to provide accurate information about your account and there are bank fines, you agree to pay those.
HR/Admin assist and pay questions will only be discussed between 11am-2pm Monday thru Friday.
You must get your own shift covered.
