Mover/Helper:

Movers are responsible for moving furniture and other items from one location to another and ensuring they are not damaged, lost, or broken during the process. They take apart furniture, wrap items in bubble or stretch wrap, place loose items in boxes and sealed bags, and use straps and cardboard sheets for larger items. Using equipment like a dolly or ramp, they load objects from a customer's building to a moving truck and take an inventory by describing each package or item at the location before it is loaded(when needed).

Movers collaborate with clients as they move the rooms, which requires intrapersonal skills and communication. When items are moved into a vehicle, team members ensure they are packed safely for transportation with minimal impact. At the destination, movers communicate with clients to place items in desired rooms. Before completing the job, they take inventory of items at the destination and clean up supplies or garbage left behind during the packing process. Movers need a high school education and driving skills with a clean record.
