Heavy Equipment Operator –
As a Heavy Equipment Operator with Ryatt Construction LLC, you will operate a variety of heavy equipment in a safe & efficient manner to ensure timely completion of our excavation, fine grading, utilities, concrete, & paving projects.
Responsibilities –
Operates excavators/misc. equipment for building construction and underground utility installation including foundations, site demolition, curb and sidewalk prep, watermain, sewer main, and storm drain.
Excavate safely to dimensions as specified by construction drawings, sketches, grade markers or verbal instructions.
Participate in training and commitment to strict PPE & safety policies.
Plan and execute work in a safe and productive manner.
Load dump trucks with excavated soils, such as dirt, aggregate, concrete, and asphalt.
Perform routine required daily maintenance on equipment including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
Work well with others to complete daily tasks successfully and safely.
Inspects and maintains the equipment according to Ryatt Construction LLC.
Must safely operate equipment.
Accurately calculate grade and use laser to set grade.
Follow directions from Project Managers and Project Leads to meet expectations for each specific task.
Perform manual Labor tasks related to construction sites.
Accurate and daily time logs, material logs, and description of work performed in WorkMax.
Qualifications –
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate.
Experience with local municipalities specifications
Ability to work with as a team or independently.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Ability to follow directions.
