About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Enhancement/Construction Supervisor to lead and manage our landscape construction crews. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful completion of our landscape enhancement and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardscape installation, including concrete and pavers, as well as experience in leading and motivating teams.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision:
Lead and supervise landscape construction crews.
Provide clear direction and guidance to crew members.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure efficient workflow.
Monitor project progress and address any challenges.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Construction Expertise:
Oversee the installation of hardscape elements, including concrete walkways, patios, retaining walls, and pavers.
Ensure projects are completed according to specifications and quality standards.
Troubleshoot construction issues and implement solutions.
Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and project timelines.
Training and Development:
Train new crew members on construction techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to enhance crew skills and performance.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other team members.
Collaborate with the Enhancement Supervisor to coordinate project schedules and resources.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Requirements:
Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in landscape construction, with a strong emphasis on concrete and paver installation.
Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of hardscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and supervise construction crews.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Benefits:
