Stellar Steel Services, LLC. is a steel processor that is growing in the southwest steel industry.
We are looking for an experienced CNC Equipment operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel and fabrication and will be able to operate a variety of machines and tools. The successful candidate will be able to read shop drawings, understand technical drawings, and use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Core Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
Computer literate
Set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
Verify conformance of finished work to specifications.
Maintain records of approved and defective parts and maintain a log of time spent on each job.
Load and unload material manually using a jib crane or forklift.
Perform daily preventative maintenance.
Troubleshoot issues that may arise
Perform daily cleaning of machines.
Locate parts and supplies for machine operation and grind material.
Palletize completed parts for shipment
Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses
· Equipment Knowledge & Skills – includes the operation of CNC machine.
· Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Forklift operator highly sought-after
