Job Summary:
The Route Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for both performing janitorial tasks and overseeing the work of assigned cleaning staff to ensure quality, consistency, and accountability across multiple commercial buildings. This role involves hands-on cleaning and travel between buildings (paid travel time included).
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nightly janitorial tasks including floors, restrooms, trash removal, and surface cleaning
Supervise and support one or more cleaners on-site
Ensure scope of work is completed to standard at each building
Provide nightly feedback and communicate supply or site issues to management
Monitor attendance, punctuality, and task completion of assigned team
Perform light quality inspections and help train new route cleaners as needed
Maintain daily productivity and performance logs (if required)
Requirements:
At least 2 years of janitorial experience; prior supervisory experience preferred
Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Willing to work at multiple buildings (travel time compensated)
Detail-oriented with leadership ability
Available Monday through Friday, evenings
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
1099 contractor (not an employee)
