Job description:
Shipping using UPS / FedEx websites or freight carriers as directed. Properly prepare packages for shipping to assure safe transport. Receiving product in and verifying content quality. The goal is to ensure that materials and products will always be received in promptly and shipped accurately. Operating forklift to move packages and material around our facilities. Customer service; fielding incoming calls, assisting customers with status checks and/or expedite requests. Customer contact regarding issues found at incoming inspection. Backlog tracking and communication; tracking orders through production and communicating status with customers. Managing backlog production schedules; communicating priorities and directing flow of orders internally. Finalizing orders; reviewing job routers, generation of certs, packing slips and invoices. Process planning back-up using MRP software.
Responsibilities:
Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places.
Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
Transport raw materials to production workstations
Manually track status of jobs on a regular basis and advise as needed
Process planning back-up using MRP software
Skills:
Able to accurately convert completed work instructions and create pack slips, invoices and certifications
Good communication skills
Good physical condition and coordination
High school diploma or GED
