Spray Technician

Encore Landscape Management seeks a full-time experienced and highly motivated Spray Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will execute all aspects of our plant healthcare program, including applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals to maintain the health and vitality of our client's trees and shrubs. Valid driver's license is required. Preferred schedule is Monday-Thursday, 10 hour days (but scheduling is flexible).

Responsibilities:

- Execute all aspects of our plant health care program, including fertilization, pest management, and disease control.

- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals to trees and shrubs using various spray equipment and techniques.

- Monitor plant health, identify issues like pest infestations and disease outbreaks.

- Identify turf, weeds, shrubs, trees, and other landscape-related pests.

- Collaborate with internal teams to oversee plant healthcare projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion to client satisfaction.

- Continuously monitor project progress, identify and solve issues.

- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, applying them to improve services.

- Organize and maintain spray equipment, truck, and inventory.

- Ensure all plant health care work complies with AZ safety regulations and company standards.

- Keep accurate records of plant health care activities, including chemical applications and health assessments.

Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in plant health care or a related field, preferably in the commercial landscape industry

- Valid Driver's License

- Operate a truck and trailer with spray equipment, perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and maintain records.

- Hold a current and valid Arizona Department of Agriculture Certified Applicator (CA) License in Turf & Ornamental category.

- Knowledge of plant health care principles and practices, including fertilization, pest management, and disease control

- Experience with spray equipment and techniques

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed

- Certified Applicators license through the Dept of Agriculture (Required)

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.

- Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.

- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the job duties

- Must be able to handle AZ weather conditions working outside
