Temporary Assignment
Duties
Assist attorneys with case preparation, including legal research and drafting documents.
Manage case files using document management systems, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
File documents in person and/or electronically with local, state, and federal courts.
Organize and maintain electronic and physical files in accordance with office protocols.
Coordinate schedules, arrange for court reporters, schedule witnesses for depositions, hearing and trials.
Support project management tasks related to ongoing cases and legal matters.
Communicate with internal departments and outside agencies/jurisdictions regarding documents request, scheduling and gathering information in preparation for trial.
Experience
A minimum of five years of legal administrative support experience.
Familiarity with legal drafting techniques and terminology is essential.
Knowledge of legal terminology, practices and Arizona/Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; experience in civil (tort, civil rights, employment) litigation, including filing in state and federal courts; typing and formatting legal documents and docketing court deadlines.
Proficiency in administrative tasks, including document management systems and project management tools.
Some paralegal experience preferred.
Civil experience in a government environment.
