Small Law Firm in growing market (Anthem) has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced paralegal.
As the area in and around Anthem grows, so do the legal needs of the community. We would like to grow our general practice law firm that handles most practice areas including estate planning, personal injury, family law, traffic, etc to meet the increasing need for legal services by area residents and businesses.
We are seeking a paralegal who has practiced in the Maricopa legal community for a minimum of three years. Our new paralegal will be expected to mentor and train new hires as our firm prepares to grow and expand in the near future. This position is not an opportunity for on-the-job training or for someone whose experience was in another state.
If you are interested in this position please be aware that it is an “in-office” position that requires you to be in the office 9-5, Monday-Friday and is not a remote position.
As an experienced paralegal, you will be expected to produce a minimum of twenty billable hours per week. As your productivity increases, so will your compensation. This job is intended to be a career opportunity as we are an expanding firm.
You are expected to have verifiable references and ideally a work history of reliability and competency. This position is not for someone that has worked for numerous employers for less than a year. It is not for someone that we cannot rely upon to show up and manage a calendar. You must work well with others while being able to lead and train a work group in the future. Professional appearance and demeanor and an excellent work ethic are essential.
We expect the successful candidate to have some experience in family law, estate planning and/or personal injury. If you don’t know how to prepare or file a specific kind of case, we expect you to be able to figure out how to do it. Our attorneys are busy and do not have the time to figure out how to do something that you are expected to know or learn on your own. However, we do not expect you to be proficient in all areas of law, but we do expect that you are willing to learn areas that you are not experienced in handling.
The candidate must be willing to work on assigned matters in several practice areas. We are seeking a team player that shares our vision for growth and that expects to be compensated accordingly as we do grow.
