Luxury Real Estate Publication-Associate Publicist and Sales Associate

As an integral part of the Marketing and the Publishing teams, the Associate Publicist will be responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns. They will need to be a creative self-starter with a passion for the magazine publishing industry and a desire to learn, grow, and be successful. This position requires a strong knowledge of social media and current trends in the industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to secure coverage in print and online publication.

Create compelling and engaging press releases, pitch letters, author Q&As, and media kits.

Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers.

Maintain media database and accurate records of all subscribers.

Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, processing invoices, and tracking expenses

Effective performance of the essential functions of this position requires in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues and contractors, both for purposes of relationship building and meaningful collaboration

Lead prospecting and sales are instrumental in the success of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Be a strategic thinker and a creative self-starter with a passion for the magazine publishing industry and a desire to learn, grow, and be successful.

Strong organizational and communication skills, be detail-oriented, meet deadlines, able to multitask and prioritize.

The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment is essential.

The confidence to do outbound cold-calling, as well formal sales training.

Well versed on all social media platforms

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

2+ years previous administrative/support experience in a fast-paced environment;. Prior Publicity or similar industry internship experience is a plus.

Associate's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred or a combination of education and experience will be considered. Interest in real estate based publishing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an inoffice role, Monday- Fridays, 9:00-6:00 PM. Attendance of occassional after hour events.

Base plus commission: $35,000-$50,000

Time Off available to eligible employees: Vacation, Sick, Personal and Holidays
