Marketing Project Manager (Part-Time, Contract)

We’re looking for a sharp, reliable, and self-driven Marketing Project Manager to help bring order, accountability, and momentum to our creative and fast-moving marketing team.

This is a part-time, hourly contract role with flexible hours. Most of the work is remote, but you should be based in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area to support occasional in-person productions at our studio in Scottsdale.

About The Portrait Masters

You’ll be working with The Portrait Masters, an online education platform providing world-class training to portrait photographers around the globe. We create premium, masterclass-style courses led by some of the most respected names in the photography industry. Our goal is to help photographers build their skills, elevate their brand, and grow profitable businesses — all through high-quality digital content.

What You’ll Do

We’ve got a talented marketing crew: someone who’s excellent with paid ads, a solid graphic designer, and a capable video and webinar producer. What we’re missing is the person who ties it all together.

You’ll work directly with the VP of Marketing, attend weekly team calls, and turn strategy into execution. You’ll take detailed notes, follow up on action items, coordinate between creatives, review deliverables, and keep everything moving.

You’ll also help out with occasional in-person productions — think: live webinars, course launches, or shoots — acting as the “on-set” project manager to make sure things run smoothly and the right people are in the right place.

Responsibilities

Participate in weekly marketing meetings and take clear, actionable notes

Convert high-level strategy into task lists and timelines for the team

Coordinate with designers, ad managers, funnel builders, and editors

Review marketing deliverables and funnel builds for quality and completeness

Drive accountability — follow up on deadlines, remove roadblocks, and keep the team aligned

Occasionally support in-studio productions in Scottsdale (light production management, logistics, and team coordination)

Help manage the studio audience and logistics during webinars or live events

Maintain communication flow between all stakeholders and make sure nothing falls through the cracks

What We’re Looking For

You’re detail-obsessed, organized, and thrive on making things happen

You eat to-dos for breakfast and love checking boxes

You’re not shy — you can run meetings, speak up, and hold others accountable with confidence

You don’t need your hand held — once you understand the goal, you go

You’re tech-comfortable and a fast learner with digital tools

You’re comfortable working remotely but also happy to show up in person as needed

Marketing or agency experience is a plus, but not required — strong project management chops are what matter most

Logistics

Contract role — hourly (rate based on experience, expected range: $22–$28/hour)

Part-time — workload likely between 5–15 hours per week to start

Flexible schedule, but must be available during U.S. business hours for meetings and team calls

Remote-first, but must be located in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and available for occasional studio days
