Art Gallery Driver & Installer (Mixed-Time, Phoenix-Based)
We are a contemporary art gallery based in Phoenix seeking a Driver & Art Installer to join our team. This position combines local art handling with cross-country travel to major art fairs in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and other cities. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys the balance between hands-on practical work in a team, yet is able to self-regulate on the road. The environment changes quickly from the solitude of cross-country drives to the lively engagement at art fairs. You will be joining a team of 3-5 like-minded individuals. If you’re the type of person who takes pride in precision, finds satisfaction in a well-installed artwork, and values the rhythm of the road, you’ll thrive here. It is rewarding work for the right personality type. Installation skills can be learned on-the-job, as we provide paid training, but basic math and hand tool competency is a must. This job will take you on the road for 2 weeks at a time every 6 weeks or so. When you are home in Phoenix, you will have mixed scheduling as installations arise. Expect to work 3 hours some days and 6 hours other days - along with week long stretches you take off. The schedule is perfect for creative types that like a non-standardized, flexible approach to working hours.
