Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Graphic Designer / Graphics Printer & Installer Operator to join our production team. This in-shop role involves preparing artwork for production, operating wide-format printing equipment, producing and installing vinyl graphics, and assisting with general sign and graphic fabrication. The ideal candidate has hands-on sign shop experience and is comfortable managing multiple print and production tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, modify, and prepare artwork files for production using CorelDRAW (and/or Illustrator/Photoshop preferred).

Operate HP Latex wide-format roll-to-roll and flatbed printers to produce high-quality signs and graphics.

Set up print files using ONYX RIP software, ensuring accurate color, sizing, paneling, and print quality.

Operate vinyl plotters and weed, mask, and apply cut vinyl graphics to various substrates.

Fabricate and assemble signs including large format prints, decals, banners, and ADA signage.

Operate ADA/Braille printer/engraver for compliant signage production.

Perform in-shop installations including vinyl application to walls, vehicles, windows, and sign faces.

Inspect and maintain equipment, materials inventory, and overall print production workspace.

Communicate with project managers and production team to ensure accurate output and timely deliveries.

Follow safety standards and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of sign shop or large-format printing experience (preferred)

Proficiency using CorelDRAW and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite

Strong working knowledge of ONYX RIP Software

Hands-on experience with HP Latex printers (roll-to-roll & flatbed)

Ability to weed/apply vinyl and laminate prints with precision

Experience with sign and graphics materials such as acrylic, aluminum, vinyl, PVC, etc.

Familiarity with ADA/Braille signage production

Ability to read and interpret layouts, proofs, and engineering drawings

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

Team player with strong communication and problem-solving ability

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Comfortable standing for extended periods

Ability to work with power tools and hand tools as needed

Detail-oriented and capable of performing repetitive tasks with accuracy

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

Vehicle wrap experience

CNC router / laser knowledge

Basic installation in the field when needed
