Machine Setup and Preparation
Loading raw materials (paper rolls, glue, etc.) onto the machine.
Configuring machine settings based on bag specifications.
Ensuring all safety guards and devices are in place.
Operating the Machine
Starting, monitoring, and stopping the paper bag machine as needed.
Adjusting machine controls.
Monitoring the machine's performance and product output.
Quality Control
Inspecting paper bags produced for defects.
Making necessary adjustments.
Recording production data.
Routine Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Cleaning the machine and workspace regularly.
Performing routine maintenance tasks.
Identifying minor mechanical or electrical issues and troubleshooting.
Safety Compliance
Following all safety procedures.
Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Keeping the work area clean and free of hazards.
Material Handling
Loading finished bags onto pallets or conveyors.
Communication
Reporting machine issues, production delays, or safety concerns.
Coordinating with team members for shift handovers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two (2) years of continuous manufacturing experience.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
Technical Skills
Mechanical aptitude: Understanding of how machines work, ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
Machine operation: Familiarity with industrial machinery, especially converting machines that handle paper products.
Maintenance skills: Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
Quality control: Ability to monitor product quality and adjust machine settings accordingly.
