We are looking for an experienced CNC lathe operator/machinist who is looking for a shop where they can feel comfortable and work for many years to come!
Must work well in a team environment.
CNC Lathe Operator Duties:
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instruction
Setup and machine parts to blueprints and/or work instructions
Perform tool changes
Enter offsets as necessary
Inspect your own parts to verify they meet blue prints requirements
Identify and scrap your own parts as necessary
Identify necessary modifications to operator instruction sheets and communicate to Engineering
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Communicate issues to supervisor
Perform basic preventative maintenance on CNC Lathe
Observe safety guidelines and wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
CNC Lathe Operator Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Familiarity with precision measuring tools
Ability to maintain tolerances of .0005 inch or less.
Basic math skills
Proficient with hand tools
Effective communication skills
Proficient in use of precision measuring tools
Minimum 3 years experience involving similar equipment, processes, measuring tools and machining operations.
