CNC Machinist
About the Job
Mesa manufacturing company is looking for a motivated CNC Machinist. A qualified candidate will produce machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; and maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
IMPORTANT - Due to the nature of our business, candidates cannot have a felony record.

Key Responsibilities
Programs mills and lathes
Set-up mills and lathes. Find work and tool offsets.
Loads feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, adhering to applicable standards.
Support deburring and inspection when required on machined parts
Saw cutting when required
Maintain specifications by:
o Visual inspection
o Taking measurements, first-run part and sample workpieces
o Detecting malfunctions
o Troubleshooting processes
o Adjusting and reprogramming controls
o Documents actions by completing production work orders
o Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes
o Maintain safe operations by adhering to OSHA safety procedures and regulations.
Required Experience and Skills:
Must have a working knowledge and understand
G Code
Must be able to set up jobs without supervision
Must be able to read blueprints
Must be able to work with close tolerances
Must have good mathematical skills
Must demonstrate attention to detail
Good command of the English language both verbal and written accompanied with good reading and interpretation skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and ability to handle problems involving several variables
Eligible candidates must have their own transportation and a current Class D Operators Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Desired Experience and Skills:
Knowledge of CNC Lathes with FANUC Series Controllers, a plus
Knowledge of HAAS, a plus
Knowledge of Manual machinery, a plus
Personal set of measuring tools/gauges, a plus
Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), a plus
Forklift certified, a plus
Additional Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to climb 8’ft ladder to storage area
Able to stand for long periods of time
Compensation:
Salary range: $45,760 - $75,000 Based on experience.
Work Hours:
Monday – Thursday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Overtime may be required.
