POSITION SUMMARY
Receives product, insures invoice accuracy, assists with ordering, receiving, stocking and
display of product, maintains department cleanliness, and provides customer service.
DUTIES
Shipping Clerk will prepare and pack products for shipping as scheduled by Shipping/Billing Supervisor. This employee will be knowledgeable in all aspects of the exchange program, (i.e.
packing, billing, UPS and FEDEX computers). This employee will be knowledgeable in
the operation of the postage and UPS machines. Shipping clerks often work in warehouses, where they keep track of all incoming and outgoing shipments. They make sure that all orders are filled correctly. Because they interact with each shipment that goes in or out of a warehouse, shipping clerks are often responsible for keeping inventory records. They track the date of delivery, the weight of the shipment, and log the charges. To help with the record keeping process, shipping clerks normally use electronic devices like tablets or radio frequency identification scanners to scan bar codes on shipments. These devices then transmit the inventory record to a database inventory system, which is used to keep track of all of the items stored within a warehouse.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives product deliveries, ensuring order and invoice accuracy.
Delivers invoices to appropriated personnel.
Moves shipments into appropriate locations for stocking or back-stock, keeping
pathways clear.
Maintains current flagging certification, flags trucks into loading dock.
Ensures exterior doors are locked and secure when not in use.
Ensures only authorized personnel enter receiving area.
Positions garbage and recycling dumpsters for pick up on appropriate days.
Stocks, rotates, merchandises and faces product as needed according to department
procedure.
Maintains back-stock areas according to department standards.
Trains other staff as needed.
Catalogs and codes invoices, if requested, according to procedure.
Assists in other departments as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST :
1) Have at least 6 months of D.C Shipping and Receiving experience.
2) Have valid work documentation as we utilize E-Verify
3) Be able to work, when scheduled,mandatory overtime
4) Must pass a drug screen
5) Be able to lift 50# on a regular basis
6) Be able to read,write and speak English
