We have an opening for a Sr. CNC Programmer in our Phoenix, AZ location. The Sr. CNC Programmer role is primarily responsible for acting as a lead in the CNC Programming department, while coordinating with Sales, Production, and Order Detailing ensuring the accurate & timely release of orders to production in accordance to their respective lead times for AZ/TX/FL facilities. This role is expected to be able to generate NC code files for turret punches and lasers using the company's CAD/CAM software. In addition, this role is responsible for providing production detailed product information and/or instructions such as material blank widths, manufacturing templates/notes/drawings as deemed necessary by the complexity of the product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Manages order flow from programming to production for AZ/TX/FL.
-Daily coordination with Sales, Production, and Plant Leadership to ensure shipping deadlines are met.
-Represents the Programming team in daily Production meetings.
-Responsible for trouble-shooting automation processes.
-Works/Assists Product/Process Engineer and/or QA/QC Manager on Continuous Improvement Projects.
-Supports production in the troubleshooting, solving, and prevention of issues that may arise during manufacturing process.
-Acts as liaison between Quality Control, Production, and Sales.
-Supports 5s & Lean methodology, and acts as a Safety advocate.
-Proof reads production shop drawings as deemed necessary to ensure manufacturing feasibility.
-Performs revisions and/or basic troubleshooting of NC files such as work holder position and tool assignment as necessary.
-Provides written detailed instructions to production in each order as deemed necessary.
-Reads/interprets customer requirements/drawings/blue prints.
-Calculates material blank width using basic sheet metal forming theory.
-Performs basic trouble shooting of CAD/CAM automation system.
-Creates NC files using the company's CAD/CAM software.
-Experience in drafting utilizing software systems such as AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, or etc.

-AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, or similar experience required
-Hollow Metal Experience a plus.
-Ability to use different measuring devices such as: caliper, tape measure, & protractor.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
-High School Diploma or 5+ years' experience in similar role with a proven track record.
-Bachelor's Degree a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
-Verbal and written communication in English.
-Spanish a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
-Basic math skills required.
