Building Arizona Families is a nonprofit private adoption agency located in Phoenix. We assist expectant mothers making an adoption plan for their child and adoptive parents with the dream to grow their family through adoption.
Specified responsibilities for the Adoption Social Worker Case Aide include:
1. Perform client intakes.
2. Assisting Case Managers with their clients.
3. Client stabilization.
4. Coordinating transportation for clients to and from doctors' appointments and counseling appointments.
5. Assist clients with utilizing programs & services necessary for success.
6. Communicate regularly with the entire team to ensure a positive experience for clients.
7. Assist with case file management.
8. Community outreach:
Organizing or promoting events to increase BAF Agency awareness.
Assist with marketing material distribution and agency visibility.
Collaborating with and educating hospitals, doctor’s offices, prisons, etc., in the effort to promote adoption.
Requirements:
Social Workers
A social worker shall have the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human
services field from an accredited college or university and
two years of professional experience in a human services
field;
2. A master’s degree in social work or in a related human
services field from an accredited college or university;
3. An associate’s or a two-year degree from an accredited
educational institution in a human services or child welfare
field and five years’ experience engaged in the activities
4. Ten years experience in a human services or a child welfare
field engaged in the activities listed in subsection
Candidate must have own car and a clear driving record.
Adoption social work experience preferred, but not required.
